Literate people make a great nation

WE WANT to thank President Arroyo for issuing Administrative Order No. 324, directing “all local government, government agencies, and government units to adopt the Literacy Coordinating Council blueprint for action as framework or guidelines, developing policies, implementing programs and projects related to literacy.”
This is a landmark decision by the President to strengthen our educational system. No nation can be great unless its people are literate.

Last week the city council also approved the literacy ordinance proposed by Councilor Greg Gasataya.
