An independent-minded and amiable person,
Councilor Greg Gasataya believed that his stint with Bombo Radyo, first as a reporter, then as an anchorman has been instrumental to his success in his first attempt to run as city councilor in May 2001 elections where he landed in the top 12 among the 42 council aspirants. Last May 10, 2004 he was re-elected with the highest number of votes. As a second termer councilor, he chairs the SP Committees on Education, Fire, Natural Disasters and Calamities. Gasataya took up B.A. Political Science at the University of the Philippines -Diliman and finished his Communication Arts Degree from The Philippine Women's University (PWU) .He has a Master's in Public Management degree from Sultan Kudarat State University (SKSU).
